As i neared completion of the game on my first run, i found i enjoyed using two main weapon types: one that shoots arrows with critical shots if you time your shots perfectly, and another which you can spray flames around many enemies as you dance around them. For the third feature/skill type, i used hand granades with splash damage to throw at enemies with hardened armor.
There are also other interesting weapon types for different play styles. All weapons can be upgraded with more features. When i started new game plus, i carried on with my last character level and still also had my weapons and its upgrades, but running around in floating platforms and falling off the edge (if you are not careful enough), is not the gameplus rpg game mode for me.
