The year for multi touching

2012 is turning out to be a really great year for multi-touch technology and touch gaming, so far. Our dreams of touching the screen to issue commands on our favorite strategy or rpg games will soon come true.

Take for example two wall mounted multitouch displays, if you put the displays back to back, you and your friend can then play epic civilization type games, battleship type games and real time strategy games on a big screen!

Here are new and upcoming technologies that would greatly enhance gaming experience, especially because these systems support Windows and Linux operating systems which mean more deep and engaging games.

Flat frog 3200 – I am excited about this system because it is thin and you can use it without having to take off your gloves. Will it also support objects on the surface and has stylus support?

Perceptive Pixel  - their 82 inches wall multitouch display comes uses the Corning Gorilla Glass technology which they say is tough and lightweight.

PQ Labs Multi-Touch G³ - their biggest screen is 62 inches and is usb powered, meaning you can synch the display with your laptop or computer so you can play Windows and Mac games on it.

Hp Touchsmart – the power of multi touch technology is brought to desktop level, I guess next to multi touch tablets, this is a good candidate for lightweight (hardware weight) gaming for heavyweight (game depth) games.

Microsoft Surface – currently is biggest screen is 30 inches but we know it has the resources to create bigger ones. Will it have the best windows games performance compared to the other multitouch systems?

Tactile Multitouch - based on the fleet commander videos circulating online, who would not be excited about getting their hands dirty with this system?

It is time to save up for your preferred multitouch system, when it goes on sale, be ready!
