Game Concept: Domination


Today i thought of a cool game user interface, an ascii world map with blinking characters that indicate different events happening around the world.



To go with the world map, it would be epic if the game is about revolution, taking back the world from domination. Here is the game ui i created earlier, clicking or tapping on the events would bring up an information panels. Flicking on the information panel would hide it from view.


Each event,  battles and actions like hacking happens one turn at a time, but all of the events happen in real time so your world map will be filled with different colours moving about the screen. You do not control what your operatives do when fighting or hacking. What you can do is send them on missions and training and build facilities and research or acquire technologies for them.

Sometimes an operative might lose contact or go rogue, or get captured and divulge important information about your resistance.

A simple story is that: the Race that created the world a long time ago did not leave our planet and have dominated us since the beginning. They created humans and made them like machines to work for them. But as the years went by humans have evolved and learned to fight against their oppressors. The revolution has started.
